I read the little book of letting go a while back. On my birthday. Alongside a masterpiece of which I have tapped enough slick off here. This book was motivational in a sense that it touched all the emotional peripheries. It struck some chords. But the editing was a drag with some heard stories and anecdotes from the author's life which even though highlighted the read, didn't totally work for me as a reader. The idea of collecting books like these about life and it's entrapment has led me to a path of splurging monies on my mood go getters. Which reflect back on my bills. This book is all that you thought you would need to learn from what an absolute waste of time, pining for something or staying stuck because of a bad deal, is bad. The allegorical texts were quite a pleasure to be marked red.

The book is grief addressing and accumulative research has been done to prove to you what happens and what you can do there after to not make it so hard on yourself. It's like the more I read such books, the more hungrier I become for experiences which tether and tease me on a rope of reason. How amazing it is to bond with a book written for minions, read by thousands to be touched and moved, even for a second. Even though my take away was mediocre, I urge every reader and non reader to definitely give this book a try to find out the dilemmas of a broken heart or a unforgiving life incident. The prose is divided in successive stages of letting go. The book might not help me understand or shorten my process but it does tell me am an emo zucked bitch who needs to control it on or die 🌟

I had been waiting for this book to be bought as soon as the prices went down because truth be told, not one of these comfort giving books based on a theme have never been on sale and when they have, I must have missed them. Poor me. Ny whole constraint regarding not spending a bucket lies with my expenditure on books, stationery and candies(? recently)

I love how specific techniques for getting a grip on habitual reactions, the need to control and the addiction to conflict.
In this little book on mental cleansing, Prather uses personal stories as well as step-by-step exercises to help readers understand the rewards and the process of letting go. For example, in the section on letting go of guilt and hurtful actions, Prather suggests that for at least one day readers "rise from sleep and make your purpose only this: 'I will go through this day harmlessly. I will hurt no one in my thoughts or in my actions, including myself.’" Prather also includes instructions on how to let go of mental pollutants, misery, prediction and control and spiritual specialness.
